During my time in college, Equities Lab has been an invaluable asset which has enhanced my knowledge
of investing in the financial markets. As a member of Virginia Tech SEED, a student-managed investment
fund managing $5 million, I had the privilege of using Equities Lab to help create, support and implement
a value and momentum equities algorithm. This software has played a massive role in the work and
research I have been able to conduct while being a part of SEED, enriching my overall college experience
and enabling me to be a more well rounded investor.

Equities Lab served as a powerful platform for our team to delve into factor-based investing. We
conducted extensive research on company fundamentals, market trends, and historical data, allowing us
to make data-driven investment decisions. The real-money investments we made based on the
algorithm’s recommendations provided a real-world learning experience that is simply priceless to me,
and something I will never forget.

What I appreciate most about Equities Lab is its user-friendly interface, which allowed us to explore and
experiment with various investment strategies. The software’s extensive database and analytical tools
made it possible for us to conduct in-depth research. It not only helped me understand the nuances of
factor-based investing but also improved my problem-solving abilities in the world of finance.
I am truly grateful for Equities Lab and the role it has played in shaping my understanding of investing in
